Mike Selves is a certified law enforcement officer in the State of South Dakota. Mike has over twenty years of law enforcement experience, most formally with the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
Mike has an extensive background in the field of accident investigation as well as reconstruction work. He has over sixteen years experience as a Certified Accident Reconstruction Specialist, and is also certified by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR #1286),with Full Accreditation as a Traffic Accident Reconstructionist. The courts recognize him as an expert witness in both criminal and civil cases, and he has investigated numerous crashes throughout his career. Mike is also a member of the Midwest Association of Technical Investigators (MATAI), National Association of Traffic Accident Reconstructionists and Investigators (NATARI), and the Professional Society of Forensic Mapping.
Mike is a certified instructor in MapScenes Pro 2008, Evidence Recorder 5.0, Forensic Mapping, CAD Software, and Crash Investigation Courses. Mike is also owns and operates Collision Forensic Solutions, LLC.

Joel Salinas, ACTAR, has over 23 years of experience investigating and reconstructing traffic collisions. He is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction, (ACTAR # 1569). He worked for the California Highway Patrol from 1984 to 1988. From 1988 to the present he works for a major police department in the Northern California where he is a Lieutenant in charge of the Traffic Division. As the department’s leading reconstructionist he has investigated and supervised the investigation of over 1000 traffic collisions.
He has testified as an expert in Traffic Accident Reconstruction in criminal cases as well as provided testimony in civil depositions. He has extensive training in the field of collision reconstruction and forensic mapping. He is a MapScenes Certified Training Instructor.
Joel has a part time consulting business, Joel Salinas and Associates, where he provides Forensic Mapping and Collision Reconstruction services.
Joel is a member of the California Association of Reconstruction Specialists (CAARS) where he is currently the Vice-Chair on the Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Professional Society of Forensic Mapping (PSFM), and the National Society of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS).
Rick McAlister is a 23 veteran of the Maine State Police where he holds the rank of Sergeant supervising the Crash Analysis/Reconstruction Unit. He has held that position since 1999. The Unit oversees all Crash Reconstruction Services in Maine including Crash Reconstruction, Forensic Mapping, Vehicle Autopsy, and Crash Data Retrieval.
Rick has been a certified Crash Reconstruction Specialist since 1989 and became accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR #1488) in 2004. Maine courts have recognized him as an expert witness in both criminal and civil trials. Rick is the Principal Instructor for the Maine Criminal Justice Academy’s Basic Crash Investigation Course, the At-Scene Traffic Homicide Course and has been a certified MapScenes instructor since 2005.
Rick is a member of the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS) and was recently elected to serve as a board member.
Darren Foster is a 12 year veteran of the Maine State Police where he is currently assigned to the Crash Analysis Unit as a Crash Reconstruction Specialist. He has held that position since 2004.
Darren became certified in Crash Reconstruction and Forensic Mapping in 2001 and is also a certified Crash Data Retrieval Specialist. His office oversees all of Maine’s crash reconstruction services including reconstruction, forensic mapping, vehicle autopsy, and crash data retrieval.
He is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR # 1745) and has provided testimony in both criminal trials and civil depositions. He is a MapScenes Certified Training Instructor and is also a member of the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS).
David Boggs currently holds the rank of Captain on his agency and has been a collision reconstructionist for the past 9 years. While serving in that capacity he is also D.O.T. certified with a hazardous materials endorsement. His primary focus of both reconstruction and instruction is in the areas of commercial motor vehicle crash investigation, forensic mapping and animation software.

Collision Investigation Solutions is dedicated to providing cutting-edge training for MapScenes users. Our training courses offer interactive learning opportunities for students of all levels.
The progress of students is tested and monitored through an array of exercises and field assignments. This provides instructors with the opportunity to work 1-on-1 with students to build confidence in their new skills. We want are students to succeed after leaving the training and offer free follow-up consultations upon request.
Steve Gatterman: Steve Gatterman has served as a law enforcement officer for 19 years, and is currently a training sergeant with the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office. Steve is also the owner of Collision Investigation Solutions, a private consulting company and supplier of crash investigation equipment, software, and training.
Steve has extensive experience as a law enforcement instructor. He provides collision investigation training for the Washington Criminal Justice Training Commission, is an adjunct instructor at Bellingham Technical College, and has been a MapScenesĀ® software trainer since 2002 . Steve has provided well over 1000 hours of instruction to hundreds of officers from over 130 different law enforcement agencies in the USA, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Steve is a certified Collision Reconstructionist (ACTAR #2216) and member of the Washington Association of Technical Accident Investigators. He has investigated hundreds of collisions and supervised the investigation of many more, including serious injury, fatality, and officer-involved crashes.
Dave Scott: Dave is also an active duty law enforcement officer with 22 years of service. He has extensive experience as a traffic officer, collision investigator, and law enforcement instructor. He is a certified Collision Reconstructionist, and a FLETC certified EVOC instructor. Dave has trained hundreds of officers over the past decade, and has been a MapScenes software trainer since 2008.

Steve McKinzie and his staff of ACTAR accredited Reconstructionists offer a 40-hour ACTAR accredited training course in Forensic Mapping, utilizing total stations, evidence recorders and MapScenes PRO software. Jim Todd is a full time employee of McKinzie & Associates, an Accident Reconstructionist and Training Instructor in Forensic Mapping and MapScenes PRO software.
Jim is a retired Sergeant from the Kansas Highway Patrol with 25 years of service. He was one of the original members of the Patrol's Critical Highway Accident Response Team. He instructed at the Kansas Highway Patrol Academy and numerous agencies both within the State of Kansas and other states in the areas of Advanced Accident Investigation and Forensic Mapping.
Walter W. (Bill) Johnson II is a full time employee of McKinzie and Associates as an Accident Reconstructionist and Training Instructor in Forensic Mapping and the MapScenes System Software.
An ACTAR accredited Reconstructionist; Bill has more than 18 years law of enforcement experience including nearly 10 years with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department. Bill was assigned to the KCPD Vehicular Crimes Section for over 6 years where his responsibilities included reconstructing fatality, emergency vehicle involved, and other serious injury crashes; as well as teaching accident investigation, scene diagramming, and accident report writing at the Kansas City Missouri Regional Police Academy.

Brad Joice is a 17 year member of York Regional Police in Ontario. Brad is a crime scene investigator with the Forensic Identification Bureau and has served in this capacity since 2001. Prior to working in Forensics, Brad was a Collision Investigator / Reconstructionist for more than nine years.

A partner at Dynamic Safety L.L.C. since 2003, Mr. DiTallo combines over 20 years of experience in collision reconstruction and investigation with a law enforcement background. He spent nearly 20 years in law enforcement in both Illinois and California, where he worked as a collision investigator, commercial vehicle inspector, motorcycle officer and reconstructionist. A leading educator in the field, he has been a faculty member at the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety (formerly the Northwestern University Traffic Institute) for nearly a dozen years developing and teaching courses. He also co-authored two chapters in the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety textbooks "Traffic Crash Reconstruction" and "Traffic Investigation."
Mr. DiTallo has extensive hands on experience in heavy vehicle systems analysis and vehicle event data recorders. He has been using the CDR tool and performing vehicle extractions since the inception. Mr. DiTallo specializes in 2D and 3D computer reconstruction and simulation. Mr. DiTallo is accredited by ACTAR and certified as a Crash Reconstruction Specialist by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.

Trooper John Cunag has worked as an accident reconstructionist on the Crash Investigation Detail in Las Vegas since 2001. He has a lot of experience using Sokkia total stations and MapScenes software with detail averaging approx 200 scenes mapped per year.
He has advanced training in accident reconstruction and has completed the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Academy at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. John has instructed basic and advanced accident investigation for the Nevada Highway Patrol. He also instructs other Troopers of the NHP in the use of electronic total stations and forensic mapping.
John offers a certified 40-hour training course with MapScenes and Evidence Recorder software. Specialized courses can be developed to meet the specific needs of individuals or agencies. All attendees receive a detailed outline of course material for reference. |

Sergeant Richard Jacobs is a 21 year veteran of the Texas Department of Public Safety stationed in Pecos, Texas.
He is the team leader of the Midland District Reconstruction Team and a member of the four person State Reconstruction Team. He instructs at the Department’s Training Academy in Austin in Advanced Crash Reconstruction including Cad drawing and Forensic Mapping with Sokkia total stations. Provincial Constable Brad Muir is the Senior Reconstructionist with the Greater Toronto Region of the Ontario Provincial Police. Brad has been a police officer for 14 years and a Reconstructionist since 1995. As one of the OPP's inaugural forensic mappers, Brad brings a wealth of mapping and CAD diagramming experience to the classroom in addition to his experience as a reconstructionist.
