Instrument used TopCon3l3 (310) series with a Husky MP2500
1) Start MapScenes or MapScenes Pro and log in.
2) Select New Scene
3) Enter a file name
4) Click Save
5) Confirm General Configuration Options are set to the valued
you require, Click OK
6) When asked "Do you want to download a data collector
/ Total Station to the computer now?" - Click YES
7) Downloading Screen will display
8) Choose TDS 48 & 500 under Step 1
9) Click OK
IO) Ready to receive data screen will appear
Make sure parameters are the same on screen as on data
collector
11) Click "Download Now"
12) Click "Start Receiving Data Now", then start
sending the information from the data collector (send the CR5 coordinate file)
13) After downloading the screen clears
14) Go to the MapScenes pulldown menu
15) Go to MapScenes Assistant (you may also find this
command on the Option bar called ASSISTANT)
16) At the MapScenes Assistant Main Page go to Import Scene
Data
17) From Import ASCII File or DC File Screen--Choose ASCII
Import
18) Will now be on ASCII File Import Type--Select
Coordinates Delimited
19) Will now be on ASCII File Import Format Options--Select
first radio button (pt#/north/east/elev/desc)
Also Delimiter should be marked as comma
Make sure to store coordinates in COGO Database is checked
Make sure Additive Number and Import Range are NOT checked
Click OK
20) On Import Toggle Check--make sure ALL boxes are checked
except the Description Translation button (unless you need this option) and
then click OK
21) From ASCII Import File screen, select the file you just
downloaded (jobname.CR5), which will be located in the project directory file
folder as named earlier (step 11)
22) Click on the file name and then click on open
23) From "Import ASCII File or DC File" screen
Click on Connect Points by Description (ZXY)(if you used that method of
connection)
24) From XYZ Connection Method Options screen Choose 3D
Lines
25) Prompt will ask Blank Description Codes (ZXY) Choose Yes
26) From "Import ASCII or DC File" screen Click
Exit
27) MapScenes Assistant will appear, Click on Exit Assistant
28) You should see the coordinates and linework, if any, on
screen.
