MapScenes PointCloud - Fatal Crash Reconstruction (3) posted by MapScenes Admin in MapScenes Systems December 01, 2012, 09:08:17 PM 2
The use of MapScenes PointCloud software helped verify details of a fatal crash case that ended in conviction.

In the case, a Florida jury convicted Houston millionaire John Goodman of DWI manslaughter and vehicular homicide after a drunk driving crash that killed a college graduate. Goodman ran a stop sign and crashed his $250,000 Bentley into 23-year-old Scott Wilson's Hyundai in 2010.
Wilson's car was pushed into a canal and he drowned. Goodman walked away from the accident, claiming he saw no sign of Wilson's car.

MapScenes Capture - Real Surfacing posted by MapScenes Admin in MapScenes Systems October 22, 2012, 01:27:22 PM
You can use MapScenes' powerful modeling engine to create an accurate model of the terrain, and then create an animation using Capture. No other program makes it this easy.

Some of the items that set MapScenes apart:

- Easily handle 100, 1000, or 100,000 points
- Define boundaries (road edges/curbs/ditches/walls) with 3D objects
- Set boundaries to exclude areas (like a house for example)
- Create 3D faces, polyface meshes (for speed and flexibility)
- Slice your surface to create a profile
- Create TIN (Triangles), Grids, or Triangulated Grids
(as shown above) for the best surface results

MapScenes Capture - Animated Objects (3) Behind Pedestrian posted by MapScenes Admin in MapScenes Systems October 19, 2012, 04:23:35 PM
Multiple Animated Objects

Capture allows you to control unlimited objects in your animation. This is possible by using Capture's advanced timeline and track system.

In this example there are five animated vehicles, one pedestrian and two signal lights.

This animation was based on existing footage of an accident. To our amazement, the person run over in this animation actually survived! We have included the original red light camera footage in as a Picture in Picture image.
