Departments Choose MapScenes

Westbank, BC – MicroSurvey® is proud to announce the following departments are utilizing MapScenes software. Following is a short list of how some of our customers are expanding their use and knowledge of MapScenes.

Hennepin County Crime Lab chooses MapScenes Pro System.  Hennepin County Crime Lab and the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office recently held a MapScenes Pro System training class instructed by Greg Gravesen of Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Services.  The three day course included sections on 3D modeling, trajectory analysis, and presentation techniques.  Polk County Sheriff's Department and New Berlin PD also had recent MapScenes training classes with Greg.

South Dakota chooses the MapScenes Pro System. The SD HP first responders to major incidents upgraded and expand their teams with Leica total stations provided by Collision Forensic Solutions.   A  five  day  training class is scheduled in South Dakota and will be instructed by Sergeant Brad Booth of the Rapid City Police Department.  Brad recently instructed Davenport and Kenton County Police Departments for the MapScenes Pro System. The Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office in SD hosted a 10 day training class.  The Sioux Falls Police Department and South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation participated.  Five days of instruction were focused on MapScenes Pro and Evidence Recorder 2.0  training and five days focused on Forensic Mapping. The course was instructed by Brad Booth and Don Schmalzbauer.  Software and equipment was supplied by Collision Forensic Solutions.

Training at The City of Sunrise FL is scheduled for April, with equipment supplied by FLT Geosystems FL.

Kansas City MO Crime Lab chooses MapScenes Pro System. KC MO Crime Lab is hosting a five day class for Forensic Mapping Crime Scenes with MapScenes Pro System April 5-9 instructed by Steve McKinize of Critical Scene Incident Mapping Inc.  The Lab recently acquired Sokkia equipment with MapScenes Pro and Evidence Recorder 2.0.

Ohio State Patrol chooses MapScenes Pro System. The Ohio State Patrol held a 5 day day forensic mapping class with Evidence Recorder Pro 2.0, instructed by Mick Capman of M.J.C. & Associates.  The MapScenes software and Leica equipment were supplied by Kara Co.  The Ohio State Patrol expanded on the number of their current MapScenes Pro Systems to incorporate more professional reconstructionists. 

Ontario Provincial Police expand and upgrade with MapScenes Pro System. The Ontario Provincial Police upgraded and expanded their forensic mapping software and equipment for their professional reconstructionists.  MapScenes software and Sokkia equipment were supplied by Pat Hills of Sokkia Canada Inc.  Training will be conducted by Brad Muir of the OPP.  Brad also recently instructed MapScenes to Ottawa Police Services and additional training for the Six Nations Police is scheduled for April.

The Texas Department of Public Safety upgrades the Highway Patrol to MapScenes Pro.  Professional reconstructionists from the Texas DPS attended Forensic Mapping on the MapScenes Pro System, hosted by McKinney Police Department.  Doug Barlet of Critical Scene Incident Mapping Inc instructed the class.  North Richland Hills, Amarillo, and Sherman Police Departments also attended the training course.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office hosted a 5 day class. Forensic Mapping with MapScenes Pro was held March 29 - April 2 and was instructed by Doug Barlet and Steve McKinzie of Critical Scene Incident Mapping Inc. Palm Beach SO sent staff from Vehicle Homicide Investigations and Robbery Homicide. Coconut Creek and Aventura Police Departments also attended.
